About The Candoo Good Project
At Candoo, we’ve always believed that good grows when you give it a little care. That’s why we launched The Candoo Good Project.
Our mission is to do good in our neighbourhoods by partnering with community organisations, supporting local heroes, and lending a helping hand where it’s needed most.
Every year, we’re pledging over $100,000 worth of free home cleaning, commercial cleaning and lawn and gardening maintenance services to individuals, charities, and community groups up and down New Zealand because we believe that small acts of kindness can spark big change.
What Hospice Does
Hospice is all about providing comfort, compassion, and dignity for people facing life-limiting illnesses and supporting their whānau every step of the way.
Unlike many hospices, Franklin Hospice doesn’t have an inpatient unit. Instead, their incredible team of nurses and support staff go directly into people’s homes, providing care and guidance right where they’re needed most — in the heart of the community.
They walk alongside families through one of life’s toughest journeys, offering medical support, emotional care, and reassurance that no one has to face it alone. Hospice care is free for patients and families, but it takes a whole lot of community funding, generosity, and teamwork to make it possible.
Now, that’s where the Candoo Crew comes in.
Meeting Lynette
James, the Head of Growth at Candoo, headed down to Franklin to meet Lynette Donohoe, the CEO of Franklin Hospice and the driving force behind the incredible organisation.
Lynette’s been a pillar of compassion in her community for years – leading initiatives, rallying volunteers, and ensuring families get the care and dignity they deserve. She shared stories that reminded us why this partnership matters: it’s about people helping people, with heart, humility, and hope.
We left Franklin not just inspired, but more determined than ever to use our tools, time, and team to do more good — from a plain and simple home or commercial clean to lawn & garden services that help support wellbeing in every sense of the word.
Our $10K Pledge
As part of The Candoo Good Project, we’re pledging $10,000 worth of free home cleaning, commercial cleaning and lawn care services each year to help Franklin Hospice continue their vital work in our local communities all across the Franklin Region and other parts of New Zealand.
Whether it’s keeping facilities looking fresh through our commercial cleaning services, supporting fundraising events, or lending a hand with gardening, the Candoo Crew is proud to back Franklin Hospice in their mission to care for others, right to the very end and beyond.
